Music education is essential as it is vital to encourage them to build relationships by providing them experiences to share. St Ann’s public school organises regular orientation seminars for our students and also for teachers. Our students get personality development classes, career development classes, and workshops on communication skills, health and hygiene etc. We organise workshops for our parents also.
Learning begins at an early age; thus, it is essential to inculcate students’ values and ensure they take pride in being part of society. We give outreach programmes that aim to develop students into compassionate and good human beings. As part of our social awareness programmes, the students are taken to visit nearby Anganwadi, nursing homes, orphanages and are also given environmental conservation project saplings of trees as a part of Vanamahotsava.
The house system is of great importance to our school. St Ann’s “Houses” function is to inculcate the spirit of healthy competitions among students and encourage it within the school. Houses may compete with one another at sports and maybe in other ways, thus focusing on group loyalty or teamwork.
The four houses are named Ruby (Red), Emerald (Green), Sapphire (Blue) and Diamond (Yellow).
The Housemistress leads each house for a year. The captain and vice-captain guide their teams on all fronts and play a vital role in leading their team to victory in all events.
Red is the symbol of love, courage, sacrifice, victory and honor. Students of Ruby house stand firm and united at all times. They are creative and highly talented. They are known for their togetherness and face adversities as a team.
The colour green is indicative of elements like nature, fertility and life. It represents growth and harmony and is the colour of the environment. They are always ready and rearing to go on while keeping in mind their goals. The green signal always signifies movement.
The students of Sapphire house are triumphant in many of the co-curricular activities’ are of having great confidence and determination. They are committed to their goals and are all-rounders and achievers.
They are always dynamic, determined and committed to their goals. Yellow being the colour of the sun, they are shining examples to the students of the school. They shine with the quality of perseverance, faith in one another, radiant and excellent.
